Biographical Notes:
Decanted in a facility in Philadelphia, Cooper's indoctrination took place in a secret black-ops program to train InVitro assassins. In an act of self-defense, Hawkes killed a monitor and escapes. He is forced to live on the streets, taking odd jobs and squatting in abandoned tenements. Cooper's arrest, after defending himself against lynchers, leads to his sentence in the Marines.
The training Hawkes received during his brief stay in the InVitro facility is an asset to his life in the Corps. He is a sharpshooter, who used this talent on a black-ops mission to Tigris. He tore up the Honorable Discharge he received for that mission.
Cooper's lack of social skills inevitably caused problems with members of the Wildcards, especially West. In time, however, Hawkes learns to trust and care for the 58th. They became the family he's always longed for.
